Chinese Pastor Jin Mingri Calls for Help in Prayer Request

(International Christian Concern) –Pastor Jin Mingri (Ezra) from Zion Church in Beijing sent out a prayer request over this past weekend, asking people to pray for he and his family, as they face further oppression from the Chinese government.

In his letter, he mentioned that his daughter Grace Jin, who is supposed to return to the U.S. in August to pursue her legal education at Washington and Lee University School of Law, has been barred from leaving China for the crime of “having the risk of harming the country abroad.”

Also, in order to support his sons’ education in the States, he attempted to sell his house last year, only to find out that his asset had been frozen by the government. “At the time, I have attempted to go through all the legal processes, yet not single response has been given,” he wrote.

“I feel uneasy and angry by this disregard of law and justice. This is not only a matter of my personal experience, but also I worry for the future of this country,” he added.

He went on to ask people to pray for him and his family, and the rule of law and justice in China. He also prays that God would open the way for the government to lift administrative restrictions against them as soon as possible, and help his daughter to return to the States to complete her studies.

His house church considered to be one of the largest in the capital city, was shut down on September 9, 2018, after the church refused to install surveillance cameras in its sanctuary. Before the crackdown, it was once attended by more than 1,500. Now the members have to meet in small groups to avoid surveillance.
