Chicago Bears Documentary comes to theaters to celebrate the 1985 Super Bowl Championship

This January, moviegoers can relive the excitement of the most memorable team in sports history, the 1985 Chicago Bears (15-1), with the exclusive premiere of “’85: The Greatest Team in Football History.” The “Monsters of the Midway” dominated on and off the field in ’85 with a colorful cast of characters, led by Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, William “The Refrigerator” Perry, and Coach Mike Ditka. Coming to U.S. cinemas on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. local time,the documentary chronicles the team’s journey to their Super Bowl XX victory and pop culture fame, just days before the biggest game of the current football season.

Presented by Fathom Events and Screen Media Films, the documentary features interviews with football legends Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton, Steve “Mongo” McMichael, Phil Simms, and Dan Marino, as well as famous Chicagoans from all walks of life, including former President Barack Obama, Bill Murray, Jesse Jackson and more. Audiences will also be treated to an exclusive introduction and interviews with members of the 1985 Bears at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including Matt Walsh (comedian/actor from VEEP and narrator of the documentary), linebacker Otis Wilson, quarterback Jim McMahon and defensive lineman and Hall of Fame member, Dan Hampton.

Tickets for “’85: The Greatest Team in Football History” can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices.
