Cheryl Matthews identified as woman killed in Ohio murder suicide by husband Reggie Matthews
The Cuyahoga Medical Examiner’s Office identified Cheryl Matthews as the woman shot in the head in a Richmond Heights murder suicide by her husband, Reginald V. Matthews.
Cheryl Matthews, 62, was found dead about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at their home on Gentry Circle just east of Trebisky Road.
Her death has been ruled a homicide, murdered by her spouse, Reginald Matthews, also, 62, who died via suicide, according to the medical examiner spokesman Chris Harris.
Richmond Heights police have confirmed that a family member discovered the bodies and they recovered the gun from the home.
Authorities added that there were no prior calls to the home.
In a statement, Richmond Heights police said, “we offer condolences to the friends and family during this difficult time.”
