Friday’s crash happened about three miles north of the spot where last week a wrong-way driver ran into a car carrying four University of South Florida students.
Leveille died at the scene while the truck driver, Jason D. Lullen, and a passenger, Joe N. Smith, were treated for minor injuries, authorities said.FHP Sgt. Steve Gaskins said the truck was driving southbound in the center lane. “Troopers are still on the scene investigating, and they’re trying to figure out why and where this guy entered the interstate,” Gaskins said.
It took crews about four hours to clear the scene, allowing traffic to flow again.
