Charlotte Gambill previews ‘Dare To Be’ event for women with herself and Natalie Grant

Christian music star Natalie Grant is on an event tour with Charlotte Gambill called Dare To Be. While Natalie spoke with The Global Dispatch about the event, now Charlotte explains more details and offers her insight in this amazing event.

DISPATCH: Charlotte, thanks for fitting us into your busy schedule. Let’s begin by asking you to tell us folks can expect from Dare To Be.

Charlotte GambillCHARLOTTE GAMBILL: “Dare to Be is an evening for women of every age and background. It is an evening of encouragement, faith and life giving ministry in music and word. At ‘Dare to Be’ every woman is charged with the challenge to dare to be all she was made to be and strengthened and equipped so she can go out and change her world.”

Q: Tell us how your personal identity has changed by Dare To Be. How his God worked to change you, because of this outreach to other women?

GAMBILL: “Every night when we join with other women and dare them to be, I find my own life is challenged and grown.  As I see so many of these women respond and rise up above circumstance and believe in God for their own miracles, I feel the sense of faith arise in my own heart and I love that I get to be a part of something so significant. God’s global family is incredible and the power of our ‘together’ never ceases to inspire and encourage me to reach for all the great things God has in store for my own life.”

Q: You and Natalie Grant are very close friends, so what can Christian women do and not do to strengthen their relationships with other women?

GAMBILL: “The best friendships are not based on need or circumstance but on purpose.  The bible talks in Amos 3:3 about when you join hands, whoever you join hands with means that you are agreeing to go wherever they are going. Therefore, let purpose be a bond that holds you on the journey. In order to have a great friend you have to be a great friend.  So I always think what kind of friend would I want and start there.  Laugh a lot together and keep God central, and your friendships will always be a blessing.”

Q: On your website, you have the Dare To Be: Devotional available. Explain how this expands on the tour and if this will be available at the shows.

GAMBILL: “The devotional is something Nat and I wrote together, we really wanted to have something that women could take home beyond the event, so that each day they could keep daring and stepping out. The devotional allows each woman to take a month to focus on many aspects of how they can ‘dare to be’ in their every day world. We have been overwhelmed by the testimonies of those who have read the book and I encourage girls to pick one up at the event or get one online.”

Q: Let’s close by asking you to give women one word of advice, no boundries…what’s the one thing you want people to know?

GAMBILL: “I guess the one thing I would leave the readers with is a question.  Is Christ enough? Because if we say He is, as scripture tells us, then where do we need to remind ourselves of that truth? Christ is enough for every situation you face. He is enough for your marriage relationships and challenge.  He is enough for you today, so declare it over your life and walk in the confidence that He alone is enough.”
