Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Emily Kinney are all promoted to ‘Walking Dead’ season 4 regulars
If the cast survived the season 3 finale, then it’s presumed they will be promoted in season 4, but for Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Emily Kinney, the wait is over, they have all been upgraded to regulars.
The Walking Dead season 4 will features these cast members full time when they return in October, confirmed by the THR April 3 article.

Sonequa Martin-Green is one of the stars who will become a regular in season 4 of “The Walking Dead”
Melissa Ponzio, who plays Karen, the lone survivor of the Governor’s attack on his own Woodbury army that helped bring peace between Tyreese and Rick in the finale — will return to the series as a recurring guest star in season four.
Coleman joined the series in November in a recurring role as fan favorite Tyreese, who first appeared in the seventh issue of Kirkman’s long-running Image comic. During season three, Tyreese played a central role in saving the women and children of Woodbury from the Governor, rejoining Rick — with his outspoken sister, Sasha (Martin-Green), who is a new character to the Walking Dead universe. Scott Gimple will go from writer to director in the next season and creator Robert Kirkman says fans should be excited about Daryl’s role “Merle’s death was really about activating Daryl in an interesting way that will pay off in season four.”
