CDC offers free STD Treatment Guidelines App
CDC’s Division of STD Prevention is pleased to announce the launch of its STD Treatment (Tx) Guidelines mobile app, which helps health care providers easily access diagnostic information and the current STD Treatment Guidelines.
Providers who use this app will have quick access to information about diagnosing and treating 21 STDs to include chlamydia, chancroid and gonorrhea.
In a matter of seconds, you can access detailed recommended regimens for treating gonorrhea in the pharynx in adolescents and adults or the recommended or alternate regimens for treating Pediculosis Pubis.
In addition, there is treatment guidelines for individuals who suffered sexual assault.
Whether it be “vaccine preventable STDs” or “Diseases characterized by Vaginal Discharge”, full STD Tx guidelines are just seconds away.
There is also the booklet “A Guide to Taking a Sexual History” in PDF format at your fingertips.
STD Treatment (Tx) Guidelines mobile app is available in the following languages–English, German, Northern Sami and Spanish.
The app is available for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded for free from the iTunes and Google Play stores.
