Candace Cameron-Bure tells ‘Dancing with the Stars’ 18 fans about her Christianity, won’t compromise over rumba dance

Dancing With The Stars is back and Full House star Candace Cameron-Bure made a splash with her candid explanation of her faith and for taking a stand over her rumba dance with her partner on the show.

“I’m a Christian,” Cameron-Bure said in the video package. “My life revolves around my relationship with Jesus Christ. So with the overall tone of the dance and the costumes I’m not going to take a backseat. My voice will definitely be heard.”

The audience exploded with applause and support.

Cameron-Bure detailed how she voiced her opposition to her partner’s costume idea that included him without a shirt. And while she admitted the dance was “sensual,” she maintained that she would not be over-the-top.

In fact, after the dance, host Erin Andrews asked her about the decision and detail more rationale.

“I feel like a sexual woman, I’ve been married for 18 years. I am a sexual woman,” Cameron-Bure said, the crowd offering another round of cheers. “But I want to reserve certain things for my husband, so we did the best that we could with a rumba that I still felt comfortable doing.”

The pair ended up getting a score of 21 out of a possible 30 on the dance.
