California Polio-like paralysis, Leishmaniasis are the topics to be covered on the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show
This Saturday, March 8 at 12 pm, two great expert guests will appear on the Tampa Bay-based talk radio program, Outbreak News This Week with host, Robert Herriman to discuss some big issues in infectious diseases.
Slated to be on the during the first half of show to discuss two of his recent articles concerning Leishmaniasis in Syria and Central America’s “Mystery disease” is Dr. Peter Hotez, president of the Sabin Vaccine Institute and founding dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.
At the bottom of the hour, Columbia University Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Dr. Vincent Racaniello will be on to talk about the Polio-like paralysis cases in California, MERS-coronavirus in dromedary camels and other virology topics from the popular Virology Blog.
