Bullseye confirmed for ‘Daredevil’ season 2, Jason Statham rumored
Netflix found a winner with Marvel’s Daredevil and as season two rumors swirl, one fact appears to be set, the iconic villain Bullseye will appear. In fact, Jason Statham has been linked to these rumors.
Statham “is being pursued to play Bullseye in season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil Netflix series. It is not yet confirmed as reps would not give me a call back,” says Latino Review.
“This isn’t Statham’s first dance with Daredevil. Just before the rights for the character reverted back to Marvel, he was said to be in talks to appear in a cinematic reboot that 20th Century Fox was trying to get off the ground,” Latino-Review writes.
Statham met with Marvel while promoting his new film Spy.
Daredevil’s nemesis Bullseye, a villain who always hits his target and can do it with just about anything appears to be featured in the second season, but little is known about that role, how the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) will fit in or if other major characters will be added (e.g. Typhoid Mary or Elektra.)
The Review states that “villainous characters who are said to appear in Daredevil’s highly-anticipated second season include Mr Fear, Mysterio (one of Spider-Man’s iconic rogues), and Elektra – Daredevil’s eventual love interest.”
Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will be taking over as showrunners, with the cast of Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson and Elden Henson all set to return.
