‘Boondock Saints’ star Sean Patrick Flanery added to cast of ‘Dexter’ season 8
Sean Patrick Flanery will joining the cast of “Dexter” for their eighth season.
Deadline confirmed Thursday that the “Boondock Saints” star will play Jacob Elroy, the ex-cop owner of a private investigation company in Miami.
In other casting news, British actress Charlotte Rampling has also landed a recurring role, according to Entertainment Weekly. She’ll play a neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in criminal profiling and studying young psychopaths.
Earlier this month, Showtime’s entertainment president David Nevins would not say whether Dexter‘s upcoming eighth season would be its last as had been widely expected before the veteran found creative rejuvenation and hit ratings highs in Season 7.
“I think I will clarify before Dexter goes on the air for this next season (in June),” Nevins said.
“There’s a clear end game in place.”
“Dexter” will return June 30th.
