R&B soul singer Keith Sweat brings his unique sound and timeless classics to the USF Sun Dome once again as the headliner of Spring Jam. Sweat released his debut album Make It Last Forever in November of 1987, and sold four million copies.

The biggest hit from this album was the chart-topping “I Want Her,” while the title track from the album also hit Number Two on the R&B charts. Sweat continued to see chart success with his sophomore album I’ll Give All My Love To You (1990), which hit Number Three on theBillboard charts. In 1996, Keith Sweat, Sweat’s self-titled fifth album, hit Number Five on the Billboard 200. The single “Twisted” hit Number Two on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Nobody” peaked at Number Three.

Joining Sweat at this year’s Tampa Spring Jam is R&B singer Bobby Brown. Brown started his career as one of the frontmen of the R&B and pop group New Edition. In 1986, he released his debut solo album, King of Stage, which had a number-one R&B hit with the ballad “Girlfriend”.

Brown’s second solo album, Don’t be Cruel, was released in 1988 and launched five Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 including the Number One single, “My Prerogative”, along with “Every Little Step”. After topping both the pop and R&B charts, Don’t be Cruel became the bestselling album of 1989, selling 12 million copies worldwide. ″Every Little Step″ earned Bobby Brown a GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance in 1990.

R&B group Jagged Edge began their mainstream recording career in 1997 with the single “The Way That You Talk”. They followed this up with their debut album A Jagged Era the same year. Hit singles from the band include “Let’s Get Married”, “He Can’t Love U”, “Promise”, and “Where The Party At”.

R&B groups Next, best known for their hit singles “Too Close”, “Wifey”, and “I Still Love You”, and H-Town will also be performing.
