‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 to have Jeffrey Wright as Valentin Narcisse a regular

Season 4 of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ is currently in production and the popular HBO show has announced that Jeffrey Wright will be series regular for the new season.

Jeffrey-Wright photoDeadline reported this week that “Valentin Narcisse, Doctor of Divinity, philanthropist, student of culture and the man who runs Harlem” will be key in the upcoming fourth season.

Series creator and show-runner Terence Winter told reporters that ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 would see a bit of a time jump into 1924, often seen as the year gangsters like Lucky Luciano and Al Capone truly came into their own. Winter also previously confirmed of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 that Gretchen Mol and Kelly MacDonald would indeed return, despite their ambiguous presences at the end of season 3, while Michael Shannon (Nelson Van Alden) would have a stronger presence as a member of Al Capone’s crew.

Wright has only dabbled in television in his two decades onscreen; this is his first role as a series regular.

  2. shando says:

Yeah it coulda finished on conclusion of Series 2 but I’m sure glad it didn’t, can’t wait for Series 4 now. Both the acting and writing are top notch, it’ll be interesting to see how Van Alden’s circumstances develop further into a life of crime and the rise of Capone from lackey to boss

  3. Mike Hunte says:

“Boardwalk Empire” ended with Season 2. It has been just nothing but a useless embarrassment since. W/O Jimmy Darmody, there is no show. People are still watching something, but it isn’t BW anymore. It ended very very well with the death of Darmody and Margaret signing over the land fortune to the Church. Nothing more need be said, yet much has… Season 3 and on are just a ridiculous and un-necessary footnote, tedious also, lacking real dramatic tension and needlessly and pointlessly violent.

  4. Parma says:

I can’t wait for the season four of this show,I like all the characters and I’ve been a fan of Steve Buscemi since “Reservoir”.
