‘Blood Stained Singapore’ anti-Filipino post draws reaction from Embassy
An extremely obnoxious, and some would call racist, blog post in Singapore has caught the attention of the Philippines Embassy in the city-state.
The blog is called “Blood Stained Singapore” and the author/owner remains anonymous. The post in question dated June 16 is titled, “Filipino infestation in Singapore-5 point guide to showing displeasure without breaking the law“.
The author clearly has an issue with Filipinos in Singapore, or maybe, Filipinos in general as he/she writes, “the Filipinos have long overstayed their welcome, and they must be advised in no less clearer terms that we are growing intolerant of their presence.”
The blogger, who clearly has an issue, offers the following “advice” for Singaporeans to “piss off” Filipinos working in their country. These include the childish ridiculing a waiters English, bumping into Filipinos “accidentally” and regurgitating your Jollibee meal back on your plate–to the downright evil–not calling an ambulance if a Filipino is in a serious car accident!! Really??!!
The Philippines Embassy in Singapore has responded to the post quickly contacting the Singaporean authorities. Embassy officials rightly say, ” the views of bloggers just her own and do not reflect the general belief of the inhabitants of Singapore”.
They advise Filipinos to ignore this ignorant post and to cooperate with the authorities of Singapore if there are threats to personal safety and security.
well they are back all right. Looks like the Singapore police are a useless bunch, can’t even catch these perpetrators. Been more than 5 months already mind you.
