Bill Parks talks ‘Hart of Dixie getting killed on ‘Justified’ and his Pepsi ad’
Actor Bill Parks appeared on Dispatch Radio to talk about the popular CW drama Hart of Dixie, playing Chicken and many of his other projects, particularly appearing on Justified (Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins), missing out on getting a role in American Sniper and his Pepsi ad.
Billl talks about season 4, playing a character named Chicken, who “lives on the outskirts of town in a shack, with his brothers” and they come into the scene, “go to the Rammer Jammer, which is the bar, always messing things up, causing trouble, wreaking havoc, which adds a little bit of chaos to the quiet little town of Bluebell.”
Parks says he’s not like Chicken and has to step into the role, but this has “made me more diverse” and the creators “allow a lot of improv at the end of takes.”
As season four wraps up, the CW will be forced to decide on a fifth season, whether Chicken will be going “to the bigger city” and pursue bigger things.
Bill shares stories about missing out on a role in American Sniper and why he may not have been cast in the Clint Eastwood film.
Parks has had roles on How I Met Your Mother, Community, Bones, but his death on Justified became topic of discussion. In fact, he speaks kindly of his experience as Eddie, the Pizza Guy, who is taken hostage before meeting an untimely death.
Bill landed a Pepsi commercial at age 17 and talks about getting to ride a rollercoaster all day: a funny clip – watch it below.
