Bill O’Reilly ‘unhinged’ on George Will over ‘Killing Reagan’ criticisms

Syndicated columnist and Fox News regular, George Will went on the O’Reilly Factor Friday night for a discussion over criticisms Will made over Bill O’Reilly’s book, Killing Reagan.

In his Op-Ed piece, Will states, “Styling himself an “investigative historian,” O’Reilly purports to have discovered amazing facts that have escaped the notice of real historians.” He critiques O’Reilly’s sources and lack of scholarship.

The two Fox News analysts went back and forth , as O’Reilly describes it, he “vigorously defended the book and the memo in question”.

The conversation included the following exchange:

O’Reilly: You’re not telling the truth. You are actively misleading the American People. You are lying.

Will: You’re something of an expert on actively misleading people.

O’Reilly: You are lying. (At this point, O’Reilly was reading from a paper and you could tell he was getting ready to blow a gasket as his hand is shaking quite a bit).

The debate went on…

O’Reilly: We didn’t talk to anybody who had skin in the game or spin in the game, we didn’t talk to anybody who is derogatory toward the Reagans or anyone who is laudatory. We do our own investigation.

‘Killing Reagan’ is a laudatory book, it praises Ronald Reagan, and you didn’t even mention that. You’re a hack!”

You’re a hack! You’re in the cabal of the Reagan loyalists who don’t want the Reagan truth to be told.
