Bible rewritten to not condemn homosexual practice, called ‘Queen James Bible’

There is a new edition of the King James Bible that rewrites eight key verses that speak against homosexual practice.

No joke, it’s called “The Queen James Bible.”

The editors noted that, “The Bible says nothing about homosexuality. However, there might be no other argument in contemporary faith as heated as what the Bible is interpreted to say about homosexuality.”

“We edited the Bible to prevent homophobic interpretations. We made changes to eight verses.”

Marketed with the tagline: You can’t choose your sexuality, but you can choose Jesus. Now you can choose a Bible, too.

The Queen James Bible – A Gay Bible is the listing under Google which takes you to the website.

Douglas J. Moo, Wessner Chair of Biblical Studies at Wheaton College and a professional Bible translator, contends that the Queen James editor’s interpretations is not entirely accurate.

“Few, if any English translations use the actual words ‘homosexuality’ or ‘homosexual.’ But the history of English translation shows that versions have consistently used other language to refer to what we would call homosexual relationships,’ Moo told The Christian Post.  “For instance, the King James Version of Romans 1:27 refers to ‘men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly.  It would be very difficult to deny that this language, and the language found in many other places in both the [Old Testament] and the [New Testament], refers to homosexuality.”

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against their nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. HAS BEEN CHANGED TO:

Romans 1: 26-27 (QUEEN JAMES)

Their women did change their natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, left of the natural use of the woman, burned in ritual lust, one toward another; Men with men working that which is pagan and unseemly. For this cause God gave the idolators up unto vile affections, receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (QJV) (Page 545)

Leviticus 18:22 was changed from: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination” (King James Version)

QJV: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind in the temple of Molech: it is an abomination”

1 Corinthians 6:9

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (KJV)

1 Corinthians 6:10

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (KJV)

1 Corinthians 6:9

“Gay friendly,” “Scrubs homophobic passages,” or just ‘First gay Bible’ – all part of the headlines.

Some other changes:

 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after nonhuman flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Genesis 19:5 (King James):
And they called unto Lot, and  said unto him, ‘Where are the  men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
Genesis 19:5 (Queen James):

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may rape and humiliate them.

    I am intrested on me and women. I believe in my god I read my bible I go to church and love my christ father. But I dont believe that homosexal should be a sin. John 3:16 says ” for god so LOVED the word he gave his only begoten son for WHOEVER believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” That is a imporant screp and it dont say if you are gay you are going to hell.

    WHEN Homo-sapiens ARRIVED ON THIS PLANET, THEY WALKED “ON ALL FOURS” AND MADE GRUNTING SOUNDS WHICH EVENTUALLY TURNED INTO WORDS. AT SOME LATER DATE, AN ALPHABET AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPED – WHICH LED TO WRITING. AT SOME POINT, RELIGIOUS IDEOLOGY WAS DEVELOPED AND ITS DOCTRINE WRITTEN DOWN.

    MY POINT IS, ALL HOMOSEXUALS ARE NATURAL ATHEISTS BECAUSE WE WERE AMONG THE FIRST Homo-sapiens. BELIEF IN Adam&Eve (A FAIRY TALE), ONLY LEADS TO PSYCHOSES – WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY RAMPANT IN THOSE WHO WANT, “Queen Jane” …???
