Bernie Sanders Medicare for All Act of 2017: Some thoughts on the legislation

While much attention has been on the legislation proposed by Senators Bill Cassidy (La.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.), or the Graham Cassidy bill, and the no vote decision Tuesday, some people may not be aware that two weeks ago, Democratic-Socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders  and 16 of his Democratic colleagues introduced legislation to guarantee health care to every American by expanding and improving Medicare, better know as Medicare for all, in other words a single-payer health care system or socialized medicine.

CATO Institute senior fellow Michael Tanner joined me to take a look at the bill, the cost, how it will be paid for and other issues surrounding this very comprehensive government health care plan.
