Benedict Cumberbatch a ‘smooth’ agent wolf in ‘Penguins of Madagascar’ as photos arrive
The first images have arrived online for animated spin-off, The Penguins Of Madagascar, in which the comical birds from the popular DreamWorks franchise get their own feature film.
Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness, Sherlock) stars in the film and the photos reveal him to be a secret agent wolf.
“I don’t know what it’s like to be a penguin,” says Cumberbatch, “but I do know what it’s like to be a super-duper-smooth classified agent.”
Fans know that he certainly has the voice for it as he lends his voice to Hobbit‘s Smaug the dragon.
The new film will see the penguins battling against a villainous octopus voiced by John Malkovich, who is bent on wiping out their species.
Directed by Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell, and starring the vocal talents of Ken Jeong, Peter Stormare, Annet Mahendru, Andy Richter, Tom McGrath and Chris Miller, The Penguins Of Madagascar will open in theaters on November 26, 2014.
