Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson honor Robin Williams at ‘Night at the Museum 3’ premiere
The cast of Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb paid tribute to their late co-star Robin Williams at the film’s European premiere. Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller and Rebel Wilson were among those who described the event in London’s Leicester Square as “a celebration” of the comedian, who died earlier this year.
“For someone who could have so easily carried himself as a big shot, he never did,” said Owen Wilson who returns at the “tiny cowboy” named Jedediah.
“He was always a warm and curious person.”
Ben Stiller returns as Larry in the third Night at the Museum film. “This was the only chance I ever had to work with him. So every time we got to work together on this movie franchise, I was always excited.
“He was very generous and kind, and would make everyone feel as if they were an equal and it was fun to be around him and have him treat you that way, but in reality under the surface I was always just a fan.
“So I feel really lucky to have had that time with him and to be in the movies with him. And it’s great that the movies exist, but for me it’s the experience that I’ll always take away.”
Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb is one of the final films that Williams made.
Williams was found dead at his home in Tiburon, California, in August. A coroner later ruled his death was suicide.
