‘Batman v Superman’ moves to March 2016: Full list of DC & Marvel films

batman-v-superman dawn of justice-henry-cavill superman costumeWarner Bros. has moved Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice forward in its release schedule, with the forthcoming sequel now set to land in March 2016. Initially the big blockbuster film was set to open on May 6, 2016, competing directly with Marvel’s Captain America 3.

“Warner Bros. has dated not one, but NINE additional DC Comics movies. They’re all untitled for the time being,” writes Slash Film in their August 6 coverage.

Box Office Mojo has the full list – complete with the two additional animated films that were dated hours after the other films.

  • Untitled DC Film – August 5, 2016 (likely Shazam)
  • Untitled DC Film – June 23, 2017 (b/u date for Shazam or Sandman)
  • Untitled DC Film – November 17, 2017 (possible Sandman date)
  • Untitled DC Film – March 23, 2018
  • Untitled Animated Film – Memorial Day 2018
  • Untitled DC Film – July 27, 2018
  • Untitled WB Event Film – November 16, 2018
  • Untitled DC Film – April 5, 2019
  • Untitled Animated Film – Memorial Day 2019
  • Untitled DC Film – June 14, 2019
  • Untitled DC Film – April 3, 2020
  • Untitled DC Film – June 19, 2020
  • Untitled WB Event Film – November 20, 2020

Marvel updated their list via Twitter. That means, this is now the Marvel upcoming slate.

  • Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015
  • Ant-Man on July 17, 2015
  • Captain America 3 on May 6, 2016
  • Untitled on July 8, 2016 (which is increasingly likely to be Thor 3).
  • Untitled on May 5, 2017 (which is likely to be Doctor Strange)
  • July 28, 2017
  • November 3, 2017
  • May 4, 2018 (NEW)
  • July 6, 2018
  • November 2, 2018
  • May 3, 2019

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will arrive in theaters on March 25, 2016.

Henry Cavill co-stars with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg and Ray Fisher.

Also cast are Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy, Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne,  Amy Adams, Diane LaneCallan Mulvey, Jeremy Irons, Tao Okamoto and TJ Norris.
