‘Bates Motel’ season 3 teases ‘there’s something wrong’ with Norman
Bates Motel season 3 is set to begin and Norman Bates, played by Freddie Highmore, appears to be becoming more and more unstable with Mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), there to protect to precious boy.
Norman is developing a sense of self-awareness in the first trailer, saying things like, “Everything is changing, sometimes it just feels overwhelming, and like it’s this other part of me … I think there’s something wrong with me.”
In a second teaser, Norman’s moment of clarity seems to pass with him saying, “I think one of us has a problem, and I’m tired of the assumption being that it’s me.”
The Psycho prequel, from executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho and provides viewers with an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates unravels through his teenage years.
Revolution star Tracy Spiridakos joins the cast as a mystery motel guest Annika Johnson, rumored to be a hotel shower victim.
The show also stars Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, Nestor Carbonell and welcomes the return of Nicola Peltz as Bradley (Norman’s love interest in season one)
