‘Avengers Infinity War’: Tom Holland’s Spidey, Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Peter Dinklage
Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy are confirmed to appear in Infinity War, which is being scripted and directed by The Winter Soldier and Civil War team, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and director Joe and Anthony Russo.
Variety reports that Peter Dinklage is in early talks for a mystery “key role” in the upcoming Marvel epic, which will find the MCU heroes united in the long-seeded war with Josh Brolin’s Thanos.
In an interview with Italian outlet L’Uomo Vogue, Tom Holland spoke about the casting process and his future films.
“The producers wanted to be sure I was the right person before you entrust three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War,” Holland is quoted as saying.
Details on the script are naturally being kept tightly under wraps at this point.
Saldana confirmed an appearance in Infinity War with MTV news: ‘’I don’t know when they’re going to let me read it…I’m not looking forward to the five hours of green make-up, but every film I finally arrive on set, I feel so happy and lucky to be there.’’
The film will be filmed a lot in Scotland with a budget of £400 million – an obvious boost the Scottish economy by £10 million.
An industry insider told the publication: ‘’It’s a massive boost for the Scottish film industry. As is normal, Disney have been keeping everything top secret, but executives have been scouting locations across Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands. Filming is due to start on February 28 and is expected to take around six months. It’s incredibly exciting. It’s going to be a fun year for star-spotters.’’
Infinity War is scheduled to arrive in theaters May 4, 2018.
