‘Avengers Infinity War’ clips, details on China release and Chinese poster with a ton of new character posters
Marvel’s highly-anticipated upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity War, has secured a prime China release date, and released a new poster to promote the film. Check out the poster below.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe tends to do pretty well in China, especially with these blockbuster Avengers films as The Avengers grossed over $86.3 million there in 2012 and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron brought in over $240.1 million there in 2015. Captain America: Civil War ($180.7M), Iron Man 3($121.2M), Spider-Man: Homecoming ($116.2M), Thor: Ragnarok ($112.2M), Black Panther($103.1M), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($100.6M) have also been strong performers.
The first official clip from Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War revealed the interaction at the end of the first teaser trailer when Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the God of Thunder, meets the Guardians of the Galaxy.
After some funny dialogue from Drax (Dave Bautista) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) as the teams decide on what to do with this strange “man” before Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) asks Mantis (Pom Klementieff) to wake him up. Thor ends the clip with his now-famous dialogue.
The next clip centers on Tom Holland’s Peter Parker getting a bit of that Spidey sense (as seen in other clips) and needs a distraction. The clip runs just around 30 seconds as Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) manages to distract the entire bus while Parker slips away to go save the world.
The new extended TV spot reveals Cap finally meeting up with Bucky and some humor, via Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa and Okoye (Danai Gurira).
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will close out all three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to battle the Mad Titan, Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Tom Hiddleston.
Scripted by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: Civil War), the film opens April 27, 2018
