‘Avengers Age of Ultron’: First Vision photo (plus rumored concept art)
Fans are clamoring for details about the new Avengers film, especially after the amazing success of Guardians of the Galaxy. Now Marvel provides the first look at Vision, who will be played by Paul Bettany.
The Vision is seen in a photo of a banner poster that’s been making the rounds (via Badass Digest). Bettany was the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Iron Man films and Avengers. There was a leaked piece of concept art from Sideshow Collectibles which appeared online. This was a detailed and close-up look at Vision, but has since been pulled down. (i09 published this, which we cannot confirm or deny)
Check it out below because if this is true, fans will be jacked up.
Bettany spoke to Collider in August about playing the android.
“I’ve got to say that the greatest thing about the job for me is that however much research I could do, I would never know as much about Vision and this world as Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon, so it’s nice to acquiesce all responsibility of that to those guys. The thing that appealed to me is that this sort of nascent creature being born and being both omnipotent and totally naive, the danger of that and complex nature of a thing being born that is that powerful and that fully created in a second. And the choices he makes morally are really complex and interesting. They’ve really managed to maintain all of that. The bit I love is the famous image of him crying, I think it’s really expressed kind of beautifully in this film.”
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson will all be returning to reprise their roles from the first film. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen will play Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch with James Spader playing the titular villain.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2015.
