‘Avatar’ and ‘Terra Nova’ star Stephen Lang set to star in ‘The Dragon Angel’

Stephen Lang will play the dual role of a French Colonel in 1860 China and the mysterious chauffeur of an American architect in modern-day Beijing in The Dragon Angel, a family adventure movie.

Stephen Lang Terra NovaDeadline reports that the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival brought the news that Visual Effects guru will be behind the camera to direct the film. The Catwoman director, Pitof worked on Alien: Resurrection and Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s The City Of Lost Children and Delicatessen.

IMDB lists “A quest for harmony through the narrow lanes of old Beijing and the loops of history…” as the only info on the film with a tentative 2014 release date.

Lang is set to star as Abraham Lincoln in To Appomattox which follows the emotional lives of America’s Civil War generals, their wives and families – from West Point to Appomattox. Rob Lowe, Will Patton, William Petersen, Helen McCrory, and DB Sweeney co-star.

Igor Darbo from Popcorn & Friends is producing from a script by Dana Ziyasheva.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting at year’s end in China.
