‘Arrow’ season 4: Megalyn Echikunwoke cast as Vixen

Arrow continues to be a popular hit show for the CW Network, with two more seasons already approved. Now actress Megalyn Echikunwoke has been cast as Mari “Vixen” McCabe in season 4, appearing in episode 15.

Echikunwoke was cast as the voice of Vixen for an animated series set in the world of The Flash and Arrow, an animated series that also featured guest spots from Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin, it seemed like the clock started ticking for the casting news to become official.

“We’re not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit, Vixen, we’re immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role as Mari McCabe,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told TV Insider.

No story details have surfaced yet, but expect news after the first of the year, beginning with the episode’s title.

Arrow will continue beyond this upcoming 2016 as Arrow season 5 and season 6 appear to be locked in despite Amell’s recent remarks.

“We were always built to be a five year show, which is a very courageous thing to plan for when you’re just in the pilot stages of something,” Amell stated during a recent discussion with fans on his Facebook account.
