‘Arrested Development’ arrives late May, expanded to 15 new episodes and first poster released
Netflix announced Thursday that the long-awaited new episodes of Arrested Development will premiere on the streaming site at 12:01am PT on Sunday, May 26th.
The previous reports were followed were delays and heightened skepticism that the series would meet the deadlines.
From the initial 10 to 14, the show’s new order has been expanded yet again to 15 total episodes from an initial order of 10. Netflix stressed that this new batch of episodes does not amount to a fourth season (something Jason Bateman has also been adamant about), but the cast and crew are hoping that this is act one of a story that will be completed with an Arrested Development movie.
In addition to the entire original cast, the new episodes also feature cameos from Seth Rogen, Kristin Wiig, Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, John Slattery (Mad Men), Terry Crews(Everybody Hates Chris), and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers).
