Arrest of Jonathan Arce Carrillo and Anthony Gonzalez Miranda for Drug Trafficking

Special Agent in Charge Douglas A. Leff, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Juan Field Office, announced the arrest of Jonathan Arce Carrillo aka “El Joyero” and Anthony Gonzalez Miranda aka “Tony”.

Arce Carrillo and Gonzalez Miranda were arrested without incident on July 18, 2019, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as a result of a collaborative effort by personnel from the FBI San Juan Safe Streets Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Police of Puerto Rico Drug Unit.


These individuals were amongst the 75 defendants from the drug trafficking organization known as “Las FARC,” (Las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Cantera) charged by a federal grand jury in the District of Puerto Rico with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and distribution of, controlled substances on February 20, 2019.

Tipsters can remain anonymous.

The public is reminded Indictments contain only charges and are not evidence of guilt. Defendants are presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty. The U.S. government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
