‘Argo’ star Titus Welliver joins ‘Transformers 4’

Titus Welliver, a face you know even if the name is unfamiliar, has joined the cast of the next Transformers film.

Deadline reports that Welliver has signed onto the Michael Bay film in an unspecified role.

Welliver, the “Man in Black” from ABC’s Lost was most recently in Ben Affleck’s Argo, Gus Van Sant’s Promised Land with a role in Sons of Anarchy as Jimmy O’Phelan. He also has an uncredited appearance in Red 2 and enjoyed a brief stint on The Good Wife.

The fourth Transformers film stars Mark Wahlberg,Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, TJ Miller, and Chinese stars Bingbing Li and Han Geng.

Little is known of the film except new robots will be added, Grammer plays the human villain. There have only been photos of the cars, the autobots featured in the film (a retro Bumblebee was released) More photos here

Transformers 4 is slated for a June 27, 2014 release.
