‘Ant-Man’ adds Patrick Wilson in unknown role, still set to open in 2015
Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of new Marvel project Ant-Man, the first film in Marvel’s Phase 3 of superhero movies.
The Conjuring star has signed up to become one of Marvel’s latest stars in the forthcoming film adaptation of the comic book about a brilliant scientist who invents a substance that allows him to change his size, reported Deadline.
While there are no details surrounding Wilson’s role on the plot on the film, Wilson may very well be the antagonist for the hero.
The film stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena.
Douglas will star as Hank Pym, who first appeared in TALES TO ASTONISH #27 (Jan. 1962), with Rudd starring as Scott Lang in the film.
Wilson is also returning to star in The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist and his films coming up this year include action comedy Stretch with Chris Pine and Jessica Alba and sci-fi comedy Space Station 76 with Liv Tyler.
Ant-Man arrives in theaters July 31, 2015
