Annie Cresta cast for ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay,’ the love interest for Sam Claflin’s Finnick
In the latest casting news for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 & 2 is the addition of Stef Dawson as Annie Cresta.
Annie Cresta is the love interest of Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) in addition to being a former victor of the games. Dawson will show up in the “third and fourth installments of heroine Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol.
As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.
Dawson starred in a short titled 6 Years, 4 Months and 23 Days and will also be in a 2014 horror film titled 13 Girls.
Mockingjay 1 added Julianne Moore as Alma Coin and is set to open November 21, 2014 while Mockingjay 2 comes to theaters November 20, 2015.
Lawrence, Claflin co-star with Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Natalie Dormer.
The Hunger Games Catching Fire arrives later this year on November 22, 2013.
