Angel’s Mike Trout helps Tim Moraski, New Jersey teen, get a prom date
Mike Trout, an All-Star outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels, has become one of the most popular players in baseball. Trout can now add matchmaker to his resume as matchmaker.
Trout, originally from New Jersey, responded to fan Tim Moraski on Twitter, who asked the MLB star for help asking his girlfriend to the Northern Valley Regional high-school prom.
“But he said he would help out,” Moraski told NJ.com in the May 20 article.
On Twitter:
Hey @emilycaracciolo your boy @Tim_Moraski is too shy to ask you so I thought I would help him out…Will you go to prom with him ???!

Emily Caracciolo accepted the invitation. Although Moraski admits he had previously asked Caracciolo to the prom prior to Trout stepping in, Caracciolo seemed pretty excited about being asked again.
@Trouty20 @Tim_Moraski YES!! Omg omg omg yes ðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ

The stunt has drawn national attention from ESPN, NBC, and many other media sources, all covering the prom proposal. “I didn’t expect it to get the attention it did,” said Moraski.
As for Trout, Moraski said he has since talked to the Angels outfielder, thanking him for his assistance in securing a prom date.
“He just said ‘no problem bud’,” said Moraski.
