Angelina Jolie, Bill Gates top Most Admired Poll
A new survey determines the World’s Most Admired People and place the wealthy and famous ahead of the most influential. Bill Gates tops the list with Angelina Jolie being the most admired woman.
YouGov, a market research firm, polling shocked media outlets all over the globe yielding headlines: “Angelina Jolie beats Queen Elizabeth,” read UK’s Daily Mail and “President Xi Jinping ‘third most admired man in the world’” rang loud in China.
YouGov asked 25,000 people in 23 separate countries for thier input.
Actress/director Jolie topped the list of females on the list, with teen education activist Malala Yousafzai coming in second and Hillary Clinton placing third.

Michelle Obama landed in the fifth spot, behind Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II. Singer Celine Dion, Oprah Winfrey and actress Julia Roberts rounded out the top contenders.
Bill Gates one-upped President Obama for the top ranking. Obama came in second, ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping and martial artist Jackie Chan.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and actor Brad Pitt came in ahead of former President Clinton, snagging the 11th and 13th spots respectively, to the ex-commander in chief’s 14th place.
Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi came in at nine, while German Chancellor Angela Merkel was 10th most admired globally. Close behind Merkel are singers Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles at 11th and 12th place. Gandhi is on the 13th spot, just ahead of actress Jennifer Lawrence. Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton comes in 15th in the worldwide results.
