Angel Locsin thanks fans for voting on Twitter, promotes Ariella Arida on Facebook

In response for winning her sixth Starmometer “100 Most Beautiful Women in the Philippines for 2013”, (the other years were 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010), Kapamilya star Angel Locsin sent out a tweet yesterday thanking fans for their votes and support:

“@143redangel: Thank you po sa mga bumoto para sa Most Beautiful Woman 2013!hihihi ️ & also sa mga nag pa-trend”

Angel won the popular entertainment website’s contest convincingly with 1.6 million total votes.

In addition, “The Legal Wife” star also encouraged her nearly four million Facebook fans to help Miss Philippines 2013, Ariella Arida in her quest for Miss Universe 2013 by writing:

“Let’s help Miss Philippines Ariella Arida in her journey to Miss Universe. Let’s VOTE PHILIPPINES.”

Ariella Arida will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2013 pageant in Russia on Nov. 9.

According to her official bio:

Ariella Arida graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines with a degree in chemistry. She is fascinated with different cultures and has a love of learning, and advocates for educating the young. In the future, Ariella aspires to become an entrepreneur, and merge her love of chemistry and research to create her own fragrance line. Since her childhood, Ariella has always had a competitive, determined and hardworking spirit.

Ariella of course follows in the footsteps of recent Filipina contenders who did very well in the coveted contest–Shamcey Supsup, Venus Raj and last years runner-up, Janine Tugonon.
