‘American Horror Story Coven’ adds Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone as Britne Oldford jumps to ‘Ravenswood’
In TV casting news, Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone have joined the cast of FX’s American Horror Story: Coven while American Horror Story alumn Britne Oldford has been cast in ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars spinoff Ravenswood.
Oldford will be a regular on Ravenswood, playing Remy, described by Deadline in their report as “…inquisitive and determined, she won’t stop looking for the truth until she finds it.”
The spinoff takes place in Ravenswood, near Liars‘ hometown of Rosewood, PA, and revolves around five strangers who are connected by the curse that has plagued Ravenswood for generations.
Bassett and LuPone join Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Francis Conroy, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Gabourney Sidibe.
Bassett starred in the recent film Olympus Has Fallen and will be seen next in Black Nativity and White Bird in a Blizzard.
Creator Ryan Murphy has stated that the time period for the season will be modern day. He also stated that the season will take place in multiple locations.
