‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ already being written

Columbia Pictures have hired screenwriter James Vanderbilt to write a follow-up to director’s Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man” reboot, which stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Rhys Ifans

Vanderbilt most recently wrote the script for comic book adaptation “The Losers”, and is currently working on the screenplay for the “Total Recall” reboot.

A meeting he took with the Spider-Man filmmakers and studio executives went very well, as they provided outline and an enthusiastic thumbs up and hiring him to start writing a sequel.

Marvel is expecting their new Spider-Man movie to be a massive success and just as they did with “Captain America”, felt it best to have the script ready for production ASAP.

The Amazing Spider-Man opens 3 July, 2012.

My first effort at “blogging” before it was called “blogging” was a Pop Culture, Comic Book column at CrazedFanboy.com.

A lot sure has changed since these days.

Due to the support/pressure from my DOB comrades, Splash Page was resurrected to publish Pop Culture topics and the “State of the Nation” will continue to deal with politics and heavy issues. READ ALL OF BRANDON’S POSTS HERE
