Allison Janney joins Anna Faris for a new Chuck Lorre pilot ‘Mom’ hoping for fall premiere
A new comedy pilot “Mom” has added another big name to join Anna Faris for the fall schedule.
Deadline reports that the Chuck Lorre project has signed Allison Janney. The show centers on Christy (Faris), a newly sober single mom who tries to pull her life together in Napa Valley. Janney will play her mom Bonnie, who is the source of a lot of Christy’s previous problems, most likely because she wasn’t the best mother.
Janney is an award winning actress for her roles in “The Hours,” “Hairspray,” “Juno” and “The Help.”
From “Dharma and Greg,” “Two and a Half Men” to “The Big Bang Theory,” Chuck Lorre’s hot streak doesn’t appear to be over anytime soon.
