“Directed by Rian Johnson, the upcoming installment of the famed space opera saga will mark the return of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) into the thick of things after his long isolation. It will also be the late Carrie Fisher’s last outing as General Leia Organa, following her untimely death late last year.

“Ahead of its appearance in San Diego, behind-the-scenes Last Jedi footage debuted over the weekend at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. The event was attended by a majority of the film’s principal cast, including Hamill, Daisy Ridley (who plays Rey), John Boyega (who plays Finn) and Gwendoline Christie (who plays Captain Phasma). Newcomers such as Kelly Marie Tran (who plays Rose), Laura Dern (who plays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo) and Benicio del Toro (who plays DJ) were also present. Now, Lucasfilm is following-up on the promotional activities with a display at San Diego Comic-Con.”
