Alexander Skarsgard, Margot Robbit set for ‘Tarzan’ 3D film coming in 2016
After all of the delays and stalls, Warner Bros is moving ahead at full speed with their Tarzan film.
True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgård will play the lead, Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie is Jane, Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz is the bad guy and Samuel L. Jackson is a friend of the hero.
David Yates, he director of the final four Harry Potter films has finally locked in the studio as the film gets an official release in 2016.
Tarzan will tell the familiar tale of the eponymous hero, orphaned as a baby and raised in the jungle, who returns to urban London as a man. Jerry Weintraub, David Barron and Alan Riche are producing.
The Wrap was among the outlets to report these final details. Here’s a quote from the film’s legendary producer, Jerry Weintraub:

The July 1, 2016 release date currently positions Tarzan against Sony’s Angry Birds and Fox’s Independence Day 2.

I will be watching Tarzan for sure on that date. They can keep the birds for the kids and as for Independence Day 2, no thanks. I am looking forward to seeing this , Alexander Skarsgard is going to be amazing as is everyone else in this film. 2016 cannot get here quick enough.
