‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 adds Mark Dacascos as SHIELD head
Hawaii Five-O star Mark Dacascos has landed a recurring role on ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. according to a new report by Deadline.
Dacascos will play Giyera, the head of security for S.H.I.E.L.D. as Deadline noted that “in addition to his role as villain Wo-Fat on CBS’ Hawaii Five-O, Dacascos played the Chairman on Food Network’s long-running Iron Chef America competition series. His other TV credits include Mortal Kombat and Chicago P.D. ”
After starting the first season with high ratings but mixed reviews, the ratings began to drop while reviews improved. This led to much lower but more consistent ratings, as well as more consistently positive reviews in the second and third seasons. Several characters created for the series have since been introduced to the comic universe and other media, while a spin-off series, centered on Nick Blood and Adrianne Palicki’s characters Lance Hunter and Bobbi Morse and titled Marvel’s Most Wanted, received a pilot order in August 2015.
Agents of SHIELD stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.
