African beauty queen, Linah Keza, found stabbed to death in London
A beauty queen and model from Rwanda was found stabbed to death in her London home Wednesday and police have arrested a suspect, according to a Gulf Times report.
Linah Keza, 29, a former Miss Africa contestant, was found dead in a pool of blood by neighbors who heard her screams.
Keza’s three-year-old daughter, Holly, was found crying when police arrived.
According to the Daily Mail, Miss Keza’s former boyfriend, named locally as club promoter David Kikawa, 38, was later arrested on suspicion of murder after handing himself in to police and remains in custody.
Relatives said her ex-boyfriend, who is Holly’s father, was ‘jealous and possessive’.
Ms Keza’s brother, Jack Hodari, told Sky News, “That I could lose someone so dear to me is like a bad dream.”
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command have launched a murder investigation. Keza was born in Uganda before moving to Rwanda’s capital Kigali as a teenager. She was described as an “active member” of the Rwandan community in London.
A Remembrance-Linah Keza Facebook page was opened Wednesday and currently has nearly 2,000 likes.
One Facebook poster summed it up this way–“Linah my sister, its so unfortunate that someone took your life too early and in such horrific manner. But God who created you, us and even the killer will revenge for you. May your soul rest in internal peace. My condolences to all in your family, Ivan, Mum and all friends.”
