Afghan war explodes to life in ‘The Hornet’s Nest’ movie trailer, poster

Soldiers The Hornets Nest photoPRESS RELEASE: The Hornet’s Nest is a groundbreaking and immersive feature film, documenting the drastic turn of events when a single day, routine strike turns into nine intense days of harrowing combat against an invisible, hostile enemy in the country’s complex terrain where no foreign troops have ever dared to go before. Two embedded journalists, a father and son, bravely follow the troops through the fiercest and most blood-soaked battlegrounds of the conflict, capturing much of the raw footage seen in this film.
The Hornet’s Nest presents an opportunity to experience the deep emotion and resounding heroism exhibited in the gritty day-to-day reality of combat life. As Americans we will truly understand the magnitude of a soldier’s experiences, and can formulate a compassionate response to the more than 170,000 returning to civilian life with effective and life-changing ministry and outreach.
Now I’ll be honest with you….this film is not for children. The Hornet’s Nest was filmed live, so every moment of this film is real. There are a couple of soldiers who do not make it back. And as you can imagine, there is also some gritty language used during the dramatic fighting scenes.
What is important to focus on with this film is that the men and women featured in The Hornet’s Nest are real-life super heroes: super heroes whose real-life triumphs and heartaches touch the heart of everyone who watches the film. And the more hearts that are touched by this film, the more we can help encourage and bless those who fight for our freedom every day.

The film is directed by David Salzberg, Christian Tureaud and stars Carlos Boettcher, Mike Boettcher, and Kalen M. Waite
