A part-time job

It’s a classic! There are plenty of places that will need seasonal staff, including restaurants, cafés, bars, event venues, and festival organisers. Check online, or at local job boards, for the latest vacancies. As well as earning extra cash, you’ll meet new friends!

Selling your old stuff

It’s now easier than ever to ditch some of your old things and make a tidy amount of cash in the process. Clothing, shoes, accessories, fitness equipment, books, and electronics are all especially popular. Platforms such as eBay take care of the hard work; all you have to do is upload photos of the products you want to sell, write a description, and let the market come to you.

Dog walking

Do you have an affinity with our furry friends? You’re the perfect person to become a dog walker! Advertise in the local area, and approach your neighbours to ask if you can alleviate the leg work (quite literally) of owning a pooch. It’s also a great way to stay active while you earn money!

Taking online surveys

Although the payouts aren’t huge, completing online surveys from home is a simple way to make some extra moolah. Sign up to one or more of the major survey companies, and you’ll soon be earning vouchers or cold hard cash for your efforts.

Tutoring

Do you have a refined skill, subject specialism, or other area of expertise that can be passed on to other people? If so, consider tutoring. It’s a fun way to earn money, while having the satisfaction of providing useful knowledge to folks within your community. If you’re a teacher already, taking on tutoring work during the summer is the perfect way to keep up to speed in a more relaxed environment than the classroom!

Taking out a loan

If you’re in a pinch and need a substantial cash injection, a personal loan is a prudent way to plug a financial gap. Providing you’ll have the funds in the future to make repayments, a loan can be the right solution to short-term cash flow problems. Check out this website to find the perfect lender for your circumstances.

Mystery shopping

Do you enjoy hitting the mall or going to restaurants, cafés, and bars? If so, mystery shopping is a fun way to earn a little extra money! Mystery shopping companies will send you on assignments to check the service and quality of retailers and vendors in your area. Your expenses are covered and you’ll earn a tidy stipend, too!

Remote work

Do you have time to work but not to commute? Check out online job boards to find work you can complete from home. If you’re a skilled writer, gifted transcriber, graphic designer, video editor, or personal assistant, you can transform your talents into cash!

We hope these tips are useful – have a fantastic summer!
