5 Benefits of Wine as World’s Healthiest Wine Hits the UK

The healthiest wine in the world has hit shelves in the United Kingdom. Madiran Camy is making it to stores in the UK from South West France. Produced by Domaine Laougoue, the wine is made from Tannat grapes that are ripened perfectly on a south-facing hillside.

The wine, known as the world’s healthiest, contains 120mg of procyanidins, three to four times these powerful antioxidants than the average glass of red wine.

Wine’s health benefits include:

1. Wine Helps with Allergy Prevention

Red wine has been shown, according to nearly 80 studies, to be able to reduce the symptoms of asthma and allergies. The researchers contribute both of these benefits to the flavonoids and antioxidants found within the wine.

While there does need to be more research into this area, it is promising for anyone that has severe allergies.

Proper storage systems, many offered by www.iwawine.com, allow wine to keep these key benefits. Wine’s benefits will degrade when wine isn’t stored properly.

2. Cavity Prevention

Wine can assist with your daily teeth cleaning process. Researchers found that red wine was able to kill cavity-causing bacteria in the mouth at a higher level than just water with alcohol added.

But wine has also been known to stain the teeth, so you will want to brush your teeth after drinking wine. Just make sure to allow for 30 minutes before brushing because wine does have a slight acidity level that can cause the tooth’s enamel to soften.

3. Immune System Boosting

A single glass of red wine per day can help jumpstart your immune system, giving the immune system the boost it needs to fight off infections. Even moderate alcohol consumption has been shown to be able to boost the body’s immune system.

There’s a fine line between too much wine and too little wine.

While one glass of wine can benefit the immune system, drinking too much can cause negative side effects that defeat the purpose of drinking wine for an immunity boost.

4. Type 2 Diabetes Can Be Kept in Check

Blood sugar can be kept under control, and this means that anyone with type 2 diabetes will be able to benefit from a glass of wine. One study, conducted in 2015, found that participants in the study that drank wine daily had better blood sugar control compared to those that drank just water.

The group that drank red wine also experienced another benefit: cholesterol levels improved.

5. Potentially Lower Risks of Cancer

Harvard Medical Schools claim that a people who drink 4-7 glasses of wine per week were 52% less likely to have prostate cancer versus non-wine drinkers. Red wine is also being studied for its potential to fight against aggressive forms of cancer.

Wine may be able to fight against colon cancer and breast cancer.

The science behind the lower risks of cancer suggest that the antioxidants in wine will fight against free radicals, allowing the body to rid itself of free radicals that create the perfect environment for cancer to thrive.
