Puerto Rico is famous for MICE. No, don’t worry! That just means it’s known to be a great getaway for Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions. The destination is popular among luxury business travelers and tourists alike. There is much more to see on the island than its crystal-clear beaches and lagoons, and it can be only reached by road transport.

4 Natural Sites that You Can Explore at San Juan

Fun begins the moment you arrive on the island. You may book a cab service from San Juan airport to reach any hotel in Puerto Rico and get ready to have a fabulous holiday. Here are four interesting places to visit while you’re in San Juan:

  1. El Yunque National Forest: This exquisite rainforest is located to the south of San Juan. It’s an hour’s drive from San Juan. This protected area is laden with various flora and fauna. The sight of white waters falling from an 85 feet high cliff on rock formations is simply breathtaking. This is an excellent spot to take memorable photos to share with friends and family.
  2. Camuy River Cave Park: The Parque Nacional de las Cavernas del Río Camuyis is an underground cave system that were formed millions of years ago. Around 228 caverns have been discovered so far. You can take any luxury taxi service in Puerto Rice and enjoy a comfortable ride. It takes around an hour and a half from San Juan to reach here. The cave system consists of several large sinkholes. Sumidero Tres Pueblos is a giant sinkhole measuring around 650 ft (195m) wide.
  3. Mosquito Bay or Vieque Bay: This phenomenon of light out of darkness can only be observed at the Vieque Bay. It is created by tiny light emitting bio organism in the bay. They shine brightly during the new moon phase, making it the most bioluminescent bay in the world. You can reach Vieques island via Fajardo, a place at the eastern tip of the island. From there you can take a passenger boat, locally known as lancha. The boat service runs from 4am to 8pm on weekdays and from 6:30am on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
  4. Arecibo Radio Telescope (Observatorio de Arecibo): You can experience traveling through space at the Arecibo Observatory. Located only an hour drive away from San Juan, this observatory is equipped with the largest radio telescope in the world. Named FAST, an acronym for Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope, the radio telescope has a 500-meter diameter. What makes this Puerto Rican telescope more special is that it is built in a massive sinkhole.

Turning business into a fun trip can happen in Puerto Rico. Many travel services are running 24 hours in and around San Juan to provide airport transportation, apart from taxi and cab services in Puerto Rico  that you may choose for ultimate luxury.
