4 shrewd fashion choices to look younger
There are few things in life that are certain, but one of these is that aging will happen. It doesn’t matter how much moisturizer you use; your birth certificate will never lie.
Of course, going back to the point about moisturizer, there are ways to at least make yourself at least a little younger through a few “tricks of the trade”, so to speak. For the purposes of today, we are going to hone in on fashion and show how a few shrewd clothing choices can help you roll back the years.

Focus on elongating your leg
There have been all sorts of studies over the years which have shown how we actually shrink as we get older. In fact, some sources have suggested that this “shrinking process” actually starts in your 30s!
It means that one of the easiest ways to look younger is to actually look taller. To do this, focus on your legs. Pick up a pair of heels from somewhere like REISS, and make the most of them. Shoes that are slightly open can work even better; they can create a stronger illusion of a longer leg.
Fitted jeans can work a charm
Another quick tip is to invest in a pair of fitted jeans. Again, it is one of those pieces of advice that sounds ridiculously simple, but it can work a treat.
The problem with those jeans which aren’t fitted is that they remind you of the so-called “mom jeans”. In other words, the jeans that didn’t really fit very well, and were stereotyped with moms.
Suffice to say, in the interests of staying young, this is an approach that you need to avoid. Opt for fitted, and reap the youthful rewards in the process.
Inject a splash of color into your wardrobe
While it is not a given, something else that regularly occurs as you age is that your wardrobe pallet suddenly becomes more mundane. Again, this is the perfect recipe to look your age or even worse, look older than you actually are.
As such, try and add some vibrant shades to your clothing. Sure, you don’t have to look like a rainbow, but avoid donning yourself in completely boring colors as well.
Your skirts don’t have to get lower
Next on the list is your skirts. One of the biggest misconceptions is that as you get older, you have to keep dropping your hemline. Well, it really shouldn’t work like this.
Sure, miniskirts might be off the menu and might be reserved for so-called younger people, but that doesn’t mean to say that you should take ridiculous steps in a bid to “age gracefully”.
On the contrary, if you are serious about looking younger, you need to keep dressing that way. This means that your skirts can’t keep getting lower and lower; the only thing that this is going to do is make people think you are covering up the less-desirable parts of your body. Unfortunately, this also happens to go hand-in-hand with looking older.
