350 Action, progressive climate change activist Yong Jung Cho presented by USA Today as normal protester

Zero Hedge dropped a bomb on the validity of the protests across America, challenging the myth that these are grassroot reflections of the nation. Yong Jung Cho was one of the first list.

USA Today quoted this protester:

Yong Jung Cho, 26, who organized a candlelight vigil in front of the White House on Wednesday night, said about 2,000 people showed up. “Together, we sang, we cried and we marched” to Trump’s hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue. “In this moment, the protests are showing the people, the country and the world that we are here for each other.”

The Hedge notes that “USA Today presents Yong Jung Cho without any introduction. Is she an average citizen, or an experienced protest coordinator? In a February 2016 email from the Podesta files, Yong Jung Cho is described as “350 Action Campaign Coordinator”.

In fact, they quoted the propaganda of the USA Today article: “They come in all ages and walks of life, unflinching and determined to be heard…Mothers with young children, hoping to impart an up-close lesson in history. Animated college students stretching their political vocal cords for the first time. Aging Baby Boomers who haven’t toted a protest sign since their anti-war days in the 1970s.”

Of course, we don’t need to dig very far to discover Cho is a climate change activist and organizer.

Cho was profiled in a Fusion piece titled “How this 25-year-old is pulling pranks on presidential candidates and saving the planet” (Emphasis added, the Dispatch) which praises Cho’s “showing up at campaign events and asking hard questions, photo-bombing climate change deniers, and pulling off other impressive stunts.”

Yes, stunts.

The STUNT link takes the reader to a Scott Walker article/photo with a “fake check” from the Koch Bros.

This protester is nothing more than a climate change activist and campaign coordinator. She’s even quoted in the WikiLeaks batch of John Podesta emails.

Here’s the quote from a March 1 post on their site: “This movement has succeeded in pushing major candidates to adopt more progressive positions on climate than in any previous election,” said Yong Jung Cho, 350 Action Campaign Coordinator. “That momentum will only continue in the months ahead.”

“The 2012 election went by with only the slightest mention of climate change,” said Yong Jung Cho, Campaign Coordinator with 350 Action in January. “This year, we set out to make it one of the most talked about issues in the race, and expand the debate to force candidates to address issues of climate justice, and how the environment intersects with other issues like race, class, and immigration.”

Cho was a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders, attacking Clinton on climate change during the Democrat primary.

“Clinton must immediately pledge to reject all money fossil fuel from interests to prove that she would keep fossil fuels in the ground, and she needs to start with Exxon’s own Theresa Fariello” (a lobbyist who raises money for Clinton’s campaign), stressed Yong Jung Cho, a spokesperson for 350 Action.
