2014 Southern Living Showcase Home tickets go on sale, Mullican Flooring sponsoring event

PRESS RELEASE: The 2014 Southern Living Showcase Home, featuring hardwood floors manufactured by Mullican Flooring, will be open to the public Thursday through Sunday, March 27 through May 4. Advance tickets are now on sale.

Mullican Flooring’s San Marco Collection is a hand-sculpted engineered product available in 5- and 7-inch widths. The hickory toasted almond selection is shown.

The Southern Living Showcase Home is an approximately 5,000-square-foot waterfront home located in the Beach Park neighborhood of Tampa, Fla. The West Indies-style home will feature local and national vendor partnerships, showcasing the best of what the region has to offer in new home construction, technology and design. Javic Homes, the only Tampa Bay member of the Southern Living Custom Builder Program, is the builder of the home.

Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, is a title partner for the 2014 Southern Living Showcase Home. The Johnson City, Tenn.-based company supplied 7-inch engineered hickory flooring from its new San Marco Collection for the project. The flooring was installed by Exclusive Flooring Center, a Mullican Flooring dealer located at 4893 West Waters Ave. in Tampa.

“Javic Homes is thrilled to have Mullican Flooring as a Title Partner for the 2014 Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home,” says Jon Solomon, president of Javic Homes. “The San Marco hickory engineered hardwood, with its rich color and light distressing, really warms up the space and compliments the home’s coastal West Indies style.”

Mullican’s San Marco Collection is a prefinished, 3/8-inch-thick hand-sculpted flooring that comes in nine colors, with selections available in oak, hickory, maple and walnut. All products are available in 5- and 7-inch widths, and in lengths up to 6 feet. The collection carries the lifetime-warranted CLARITAGE® Extra finish by PPG Industries.
“We are excited to be showcasing the San Marco Collection, one of our newest Made-in-the-USA product, in the 2014 Southern Living Showcase Home,” says Brian Greenwell, Mullican’s vice president of sales and marketing.

“The wider widths and longer lengths are well suited for this home, giving the rooms a stylish and sophisticated feel.”

Admission to the 2014 Southern Living Showcase Home is $10 and parking is free. All proceeds will benefit two non-profit organizations, Operation Finally Home and All Children’s Hospital. Additional information, including the option to purchase tickets, can be found at www.TampaShowcaseHome.com.
