XTrade Goes Green—Will Investors Follow?

The planet needs us to turn green, towards sustainability. But the investors seem to have the upper hand in this. What can we expect, will investors shift towards long-term green investments?

We are all happy to say that green is the colour of life, in fact, our planet looks like a green and blue ball when seen from outer space. If you consider that the fact that the colour you see is the colour an object has not absorbed, it would be more accurate to say that green is the colour life has actually rejected!

Leaving apart these scientific nuances, it is nothing new to state that our society needs to turn towards green sustainable technologies if we aim to keep living on a green and blue planet.

As a matter of fact, when you compare pictures from our planet from years ago with recent portrayals, you can see that there is a shift to ochre colours as the green is receding.

  • What Do Investors Have to Do with This?

It would not be inaccurate to say that companies like XTrade are aware of the need to turn green, however, few are brave enough to start the road to sustainability; many are reluctant because they are afraid investors may not like that kind of change.

Why not?

The investor collective is mostly driven by short-term yield. They dream of getting as many benefits as possible every quarter of the year, at the cost of sustainable wealth.

You could think that this is a short-sighted, selfish behaviour but, sadly, it is what it is, and it just echoes the pitiful conduct mankind has already witnessed in many other ambits. But there are reasons to be hopeful—not wishful—and expect a change in trends.

Who makes the choice?

If you have a close look at the so-called millennial generation, you will surely notice that they expect something more. Of course, they want to make money, but that is not all. They also aspire to have a significant effect on the world that surrounds us.

XTrade can be a tool to support green progress since it allows you to trade CFDs with many companies that are renowned to be investing in green technologies.

We are talking about companies such as Johnson & Johnson, striving to create products that are sustainable and sustainable packaging methods; Ford motor company which uses sustainable textile materials and has two models—Ford Focus and Ford Escape—that are 80% recyclable; Tesla Motors with their renewed pursuit of electric energies; or The Walt Disney Company. They all strive to go green.

In summary then, when investing with XTrade, don’t have a selfish myopic approach. Look to better the future. No money is any good without life to enjoy it so try to find the right balance; fine tune your trading strategies so that you gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are doing the right thing, not just squeezing the planet to its exhaustion. Think in green.
